The Duke Experience: A Pilgrimage to Cameron
J.J. Redick hasn't even left the Duke locker room, yet, and already, he's feeling it. Redick, back at Cameron Indoor Stadium to have his No. 4 jersey retired on this Super Bowl Sunday, says just being inside his alma mater's Gothic basketball cathedral is enough to send chills down his spine. The night before, I arrive on Duke's pine tree-wrapped campus for the first time, wondering if the place would have the same impact on me. After years of hearing everyone from Dick Enberg to Dick Vitale extol the virtues of a game at Cameron, I decided to find out for myself if the real Duke could possibly be as idyllic as the one depicted on TV. Finance Act 2005 made a small change in Section 80E of the Income Tax Act with effect from April 1, 2006. However, no amount of money paid towards the principal on the loan will be eligible for deduction (as was the case earlier). Payment schedule Assume that someone has taken a seven -year education loan of Rs 4 lakh at a fixed rate of 10% per annum. Note that banks in India provide education loan of up to Rs 4 lakh for higher studies without collateral. The tenure is typically seven years after the borrower starts earning. The interest is calculated on the opening principal at the fixed-rate of interest of 10% per annum.
